Cervelle software offers a paperless 4473 tool that satisfies all the requirements of the ATF's 18 line items.  To take advantage of this tool, you will have to write a letter to your IOI and give them a 60 day notice.  Once the 60 days has passed, you can generate a keep your 4473's electronic.  If a 3310.4 applies, it will be automatically appended to the 4473.  If you need to attach a hunting license or other document, use the built in tool to easily add any number of PDF's to the 4473.  Worried about making mistakes?  We are too!  We have added plenty of error checking into the tool!  We won't let you close a receipt if the 4473 has incorrect or missing data.  

Shot Show 2023 signaled the beginning of a great year for the firearms industry!  The aisles were crowded with people and with lots of  amazing dogs!  This was a welcome change from the previous Shot Show where COVID had put a damper on attendance.  We are located on the 2nd floor on a corner booth positioned between the FBI and the ATF which means you have to stop by and say hi to us if you say hi to your other two friends there!  All kidding aside, we love when our customers stop by to chat or ask questions or both.  We also welcome all new prospects!  

Merchant Magic gives you all the tools you need to maintain electronic 4473's and to also check them for errors and completeness.  Merchant Magic won't let you complete a sale if information is missing on the 4473.  The ATF is focusing on your paper 4473's because that is where the mistakes seem to lie.  Why not try the electronic 4473?

Boy can Amchar put on a dealer show!  Not only was it in the beautiful town of Savanna, overlooking the water, it was at the big convention center on Hutchison Island.  The traffic was good!  Their Super bowl party was awesome!  Hope they have it there again next year!

We were pleasantly surprised by how many FFL's showed up at Shot!  Our booth was flooded by both existing customers who stopped by to say "Hi" and by prospects wanting to learn more about our products.  The prospects loved that current customers were so satisfied with us!  Hope to see you guys next year!

The Report of  Multiple Sale or Other Disposition of Pistols and Revolvers (3310.4) was updated by the ATF on 12/31/2021.  Cervelle Software updated their built-in 3310.4 as well.  Please call in to get the new version.  You must be covered by an active technical support contract to receive the update. If you version of Merchant Magic® is more than 2 years old, charges will apply.  

Whether you use paper or our electronic 4473, please be aware of a very important clarification offered in the ATF's recent newsletter.  Question #6 of the 4473 will NEVER say "ZERO".  If a customer intended to buy a firearm and was denied, you must put a line through the entry but still list the firearm on the 4473.  Box #6 will still indicate "ONE", because it is listing the number of firearms RECORDED, not the number transferred.  The instructions for question six cite "number to be transferred" but it means number of firearms  listed even if it was deleted.
